Never yielding, Hiroshima spirits achieved miraculous recovery up until now. One of the driving forces is absolutely the regional family businesses with cultural background. They never forget to respect ancestors, pray for peace, and work hard for citizens.
Hosted by the 4th generation of the Kambara Family you will visit the dynamic shipyard of the Tsuneishi shipbuilding and Shinshoji Zen museum where you are merged in the zen and art experience and cycling as an optional tour.
As Hiroshima is home to many top sports teams, you will be exposed to some examples of corporate contribution for sports, including visit to Mazda Zum Zum Stadium. And you will also visit Kamotsuru sake brewery.
At one of Japan’s most scenic Itsukushima Shrine and the Orizuru tower overlooking the Peace Memorial Park you will renew your prayers for peace. You will travel to the summit venue in Tokyo by the super express train.

Kambara Family (since 1903)
Tsuneishi Holdings Inc., lead by Kambara family in Fukuyama city, Hiroshima prefecture. The business started in 1903 by Mr. Katsutaro Kambara as a shipyard business with second hand ships. It became one of the leading groups centering on shipbuilding with JPY 300 Billion.
Lead by both 3rd and 4th generations as family business, spread globally, from China to the Philippines to Uruguay, etc. They stayed and live within the city of Fukuyama regardless their business expansion. The place importance in the employees, local community and the history lived with them. They manage hundreds of companies, from small shops in the city to shipbuilding yards with promise of the prosperity and employment for the city.
Gantu is s famous high-end cruising service in Setonaikai sea, Mirokunosato park is for multiple generations to enjoy together, with a newly started international school called Zinseki International school that is ready to educate those who would like to study abroad with perfect understanding in Japanese culture !
Shinshoji temple (Rinzai school of Zen Buddhism temple) was built by Mr. Hideo Kambara, the 2nd generation in 1965 which became the stronghold of the family, open to everybody to experience both Tea ceremony and Zen.
The management of the group is handled by multiple family members and non-family executives, waiting for the 6th generation to join.

Matsada Family (since 1948)
Hiroshima Carp, a very popular baseball team has been tandem with the recovery of Hiroshima City after the 2nd World War.
The management of this team is by Mr. Hajime MATSUDA as the president of Hiroshima Toyo Carp Co. They were playing at Hiroshima Citizen Baseball Field, as the symbol of the recovery of Hiroshima as well as peace, next to Atomic Bomb Dorm till 2009. So called Barrel Donation (Sake Barrels were used to call donations from the citizens) to build a new baseball stadium spread even for Hiroshima prefecture and throughout Japan.
Hiroshima Carp became one of the most popular teams in Japan to have more than 2 Million visitors !

Kamotsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd is the iconic Sake brewery located in Saijyo areas in Hiroshima prefecture.
Founded by Mr. Wahei Kimura in 1873, incorporated in 1918 and the release of Gold Kamotsuru in 1958 was the sensation in this industry as the highest quality called Daiginjyo. Saijyo area was memorized as top 3 region in Sake with Fushimi (Kyoto) and Nada (Hyogo) in western part of Japan.
Kamotsuru never forgets that the heart of the protector of quality were rice and water. The heart of the joy is not only the flavor and that special moment.
We will have once in a lifetime chance (Ichigo Ichie) to visit the Kamotsuru brewery and their restaurant.
